Morguard Real Estate Investment Trust announces retirement of CFO Tim Walker

MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Morguard REIT (TSX:MRT.UN) today announced that Tim Walker, Chief Financial Officer, is retiring after 10 years as CFO and 17 years with the Morguard group of companies overall. He will remain CFO through April 30, 2014, after which Pamela McLean, currently Senior Vice President, Finance, at Morguard Investments Limited will assume the role of CFO. Tim has been nominated as a trustee of the REIT for the May 14, 2014 annual unitholder meeting.

Pamela McLean, CPA, CA, is a 21 year veteran of Morguard and has held positions of increasing responsibility in accounting and finance, and Client and Corporate Services.  Pamela was appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO of Morguard Investments Limited in 2006 with responsibility for all financial activities and reporting for Morguard's pension fund clients and affiliated companies as well as Information Technology, National Programs & Quality Management and Corporate Marketing. Prior to joining Morguard, Pamela worked for a national accounting firm, where she focused on real estate clients.
